Randy and Jim discuss first order corrections to special relativity in light of quantum gravity: deformed special relativity. What should happen to space time if a minimum length scale is introduced to special relativity?

Shocked and saddened to hear of Randy's death. I always looked forward so much to this podcast, the topics are always fascinating even though I only understand about 50%. Very sad to realise this was the final instalment.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThis will be last episode with Randy, but we'd already agreed to start doing some interview shows after joking about it for years. So, since I already have one of those shows recorded, I'll be putting that one out, hopefully next month. I haven't decided what to do after that, but on Patreon, people seem to think it would be good to keep going, and there are a lot of people I'd like to talk with, so I might continue along those lines.

ReplyDeleteYou've both given me many years of enjoyable podcasting.
Glad to hear you will be thinking of continuing
Deep condolences and warm respects to Randy and his loved ones. Thank you for years of companionship and exploration. May it always continue. And thank you, Jim.
ReplyDeleteReally sorry to hear this news. It was always a delight when a new episode popped up in my feed, and I shall very much miss Randy's enthusiasm and intelligent curiosity. Condolences to you and all his friends and family.
